July 4th Fireworks in Marina del Rey – from visitmarinadelrey.com
The traditional fireworks extravaganza over Marina del Rey takes place annually on July 4th at 9 p.m., and lasts approximately 20 minutes. Celebrate in the marina, as one of few communities still bringing in the 4th with a bang!
The show begins with lively movement and color, intensifying to an explosive skyline display, mirrored by the water below. The event is sponsored by Los Angeles County Department of Beaches & Harbors and a host of community supporters.
Where to Watch the Fireworks
Fireworks are launched from a floating barge located in the waters of the main channel between Fisherman’s Village and the Breakwater (the ocean entrance to the harbor). Depending upon weather and cloud cover on the night of the show, the fireworks can usually be seen throughout the marina, and from the waterfront side of most hotels, restaurants, beaches, apartments and anchorages.
