Venice Beach is part of the City of Los Angeles Public Park system. It is open from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. There is a curfew at midnight for Ocean Front Walk. Check the other sections of this website for specific hours for different park offices and locations.
You may NOT have dogs on Venice Beach. Dogs are permitted in areas of the park with the exception of weekends and holidays, from Memorial Day to Halloween.
There is NO SMOKING on Venice Beach or in Venice Beach Park.
Public restrooms are available up and down the Venice Beach Boardwalk, with multiple rest rooms, sinks and shower spray for washing off sand. Restrooms are located at the following locations:
- Washington – Venice Pier Parking Lot
- North Venice – Beach Parking Lot
- 17th Ave & Ocean Front Walk by Basketball Courts
- Horizon Ave & Ocean Front Walk
- Brooks Ave & Ocean Front Walk
- Ozone & Ocean Front Walk – Beach Parking Lot
Parking At Venice Beach California
There are many private parking lots around Venice to accommodate your visit. The most accessible lots are the main beach parking areas owned by the County of Los Angeles and managed by PCI, Inc. Below is a map provided by the Dept of Rec & Parks showing parking areas in blue. Rates vary by time of day and season. There is no oversized RV parking available in these lots.
There is FREE parking on the streets around Venice Beach since it is part of the City of LA but you have to READ ALL SIGNS to make sure there are not restrictions so you don’t get ticketed or towed.
