[LAPD Audio] UPDATE: Gunshots & A Stolen Car And A Gang Shooting Last Night

UPDATE: LAPD is connecting all the information from the shots fired in Oakwood, to the following of the stolen car and suspects bailing out, and the gun recovered this morning. No confirmed answers yet details are being processed. As for the shooting on Braddock, all victims survived their wounds. No suspects in custody.

Below is the audio from the whole incident from shots fired in Oakwood, to the pursuit and perimeter, suspects being taken into custody and the gun found this morning. I usually edit down the auido - but I just wanted to let people hear the whole thing to reflect how valuable the LAPD airships are. Without them, they would have not been able to set up an adequate perimeter, they would not have found the suspects hiding using the FLIR infrared camera and they would not have been able to stage officers in a manner that protected everyone’s safety. They are loud, and they wake you up… but they also capture people driving around shooting in your neighborhood in stolen cars at 1 a.m.

Last night just before 1 a.m. a report of six shots were fired near 6th and San Miguel. Shortly thereafter LAPD ran the plate of a white truck that came back as a stolen car from outside our area. A short pursuit ensued and three Hispanic males in their late teens and one Hispanic female bailed out of the car just East of Main St and Ocean Park in Santa Monica. An airship was on scene immediately, set up a perimeter and two of the four were caught. Nice of them to come to Venice for a joyride. It was not confirmed if the two incidents were related. A gun was found in the bushes of an apartment building this morning along Electric Ave. LAPD retrieved it.

An hour later there was a gang shooting on Braddock. 2 Male Hispanics and one female Hispanic shot two victims who were taken in critical condition to a nearby trauma center. One victim had multiple gunshots to the chest.
