Attempted Robbery on Burrell - Owner Calls 911 - Police Arrest At Gunpoint

From The Triangle Update:

This morning (14 Aug) man in top center photo went thru open side gate of house on Burrell to back, unlocked patio screen door and went in. Hearing someone in house, the man started to leave. The owner noticed just an arm leaving the door as he entered the room. Owner immediately called 911 and grabbed a bat. Police arrived and apprehended suspect. Arresting officer Craig Brown said perpetrator was on drugs. Owner of house did not want his name or address mentioned. Shame because picture of him with bat was classic. ** Mentioned at the end of the radio call on this over the scanner: Ambulance was sent for the suspect who’s hand seemed to be suffering from gangrene. (gross!)

Thank you Triangle Update for the details!

Super-Sarge Craig Brown apprehended the suspect at gunpoint on the second story upstairs patio of a residence.
