UPDATE: Identity of the man arrested for felony evading a peace officer in today’s wild pursuit confirmed as that of Loren Abraham, former night employee at The Cow’s End. We have been told that Loren had a history of making criminal threats and may be suffering from unspecified mental issues. He was booked into Twin Towers jail and is being held on $50,000 bond.
Today a 5150 man that was involved in a hit and run led LAPD on a high speed chase through Venice. At one point the suspect hit and disabled one LAPD patrol car, and then on another occasion he backed up into another intentionally. After doing hot-laps around Glencoe / Maxella / Venice / Washington he fled down Admiralty to Abbot Kinney and finally his car came to a stop at Venice and Grand View. When his car stopped, he refused to get out of the car. LAPD broke out the rear window and had bean-bag rifles at the ready to subdue the suspect if necessary. He was taken into custody without incident. We are waiting on confirmation that the suspect was a former night-time barista at The Cow’s End on Washington for several years.
Here is audio of the entire high speed chase!

He is going to be the new barista at LA County jail.
