Yes, the popularity of the 4th of July Rubber Ducky Race has led to pre-sales of the orange and yellow floating critters, so be the first to get yours this weekend because last year they SOLD OUT!
Early ducky sales at Dell Ave and Court D between 12 p.m & 4 p.m. on:

10:-1:15 - Buy your Rubbery Ducky ( if any are left)
1:15 Ducky Sales Close
1:30 - The Rubber Ducky Race! It begins at the Dell Ave Bridge over Linnie Canal & finished at the balloon line over Linnie at Eastern Canal. Winners will receive cash prizes which will be awarded at the BBQ.
1:30: Linnie Canal Downwind Regatta
All boats must be wind-powered ONLY. (Let your imagination run wild!)
Races start at the balloon starting line at Linnie Canal & Grand Canal
1:45 - Start of Kids Division
2:00 - Start of Adult Division ( 15 and older )
Race forms are REQUIRED and must be handed in to the race committee prior to the start. All kids on boats MUST wear life vests and at all times during the race and a release waiver to race must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Boats must be prepared prior to race time. Sails must fit under the two bridges on Linnie Canal. a blast from a fog horn will start the race. Officials at Linnie and Eastern Canals will note the winning boats as they cross the balloon Finish Line. The first three boats that cross the finish in each division receive trophies!
2:30 - 3:30 - Crazy Hat Contest - The 5th Annual “Don your most dramatic and tackiest party hat for all festivities”. Judges will secretly be roaming to select the ”Craziest” and “Most Creative” hats. Prizes awarded at the BBQ.
2:30-4:30 - BBQ Pot Luck w music by the “Shoo Flies”. Following the Rubber Ducky Race and Downwind Regatta the VCA will have a community BBQ & Pot Luck - hamburgers and hot dogs along with all the fixins. To defray the rising cost of food the VCA is asking for a contribution of $5 per person or $10 per family. Please bring a salad, side dish or dessert. Trophies and prizes for the Ducky Race, Crazy Hat Contest and Downwind Regatta will be presented at the pot luck!
