Last night I got a few twitter messages about a helicopter hovering in Santa Monica near Main St. It was an LAPD airship but they were communicating with Santa Monica PD so I didn’t have any scanner access. BUT! I got the scoop this morning from Santa Monica PD. At 12:30 the burglary alarm went off at a restaurant on Main St in Santa Monica. Officers responded and saw a suspect on the roof. An LAPD airship came to assist, and saw the suspect, and the flat screen TV he tried to hoist out of the place. He surrendered when the airship spotted him and is off to jail!
