Today just north of Venice Pier, LA’s Venice Beach Lifeguards are holding the Annual Ed Perry Challenge. This used to be a two day event, but for the past few years it has been condensed into one day. This is an annual event just before the official big Summer Lifeguard schedule kicks in, and gives the lifeguards a chance to compete against one another in a series of ocean based competitions. It is an incredible fitness challenge, and a ton of fun for the competitors. If you are breezing by, stop and cheer on your local lifesaving, hard working Venice Beach Lifeguards!
