LAPD Pacific Division Officers Nab Burglary Suspect In Foot Pursuit - AUDIO

Today an alert neighbor heard a suspicious noise at their neighbors house and called LAPD. It turned out to be a home robbery in progress, and multiple units responded. Often we get comments from people wondering why so many police officers show up at the scene of what turns out to be a small crime, even vandalism. Well, the police never know the nature of the scene, it may require many offices to engage in a foot pursuit and to detain a combative suspect like today’s incident, and unfortunately when there are only two or few officers, people at the scene are more likely to escalate the situation and become combative.

Today responding units saw the suspect and engaged in a foot pursuit through houses and down an alley. The suspect resisted arrest, but was finally taken into custody. Afterwards, the suspect said he was dropped off at the location on Short Ave. by a white male in his 20′s in a black BMW. The suspect and vehicle are still outstanding at this time.

The video below is the audio from the radio calls. The address has been audibly obscured.
