As Twittered @venice311 at around 2:30 this afternoon, a man jumped from the Venice Pier. Lifeguards and LAPD were called to the scene, and Venice’s own Tony Vera went to the scene to get the video shown below. Apparently the man had a lot to drink. Last July 4th a man was drunk, jumped from the pier and drowned. His body was recovered days later near Santa Monica.
