BUSINESS ROBBERY
CANALI CAFÉ 123 WASHINGTON BLVD
On 03/06/11, at 6:30 pm., the suspects entered the Canali Café; Suspect #2 approached the counter and displayed a handgun. Suspect #1 quickly moved behind the counter and ordered an employee to open the register. The first employee was unable to open the register, and suspect #2 then went behind the counter. A second employee was able to open the register. Suspect #1 removed the money from the register and both suspects fled the location. Suspects fled to an awaiting vehicle in the rear alley, driven by suspect #3.
COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION:
THE SUSPECT VEHICLE FLED NORTHBOUND IN THE ALLEY BEHIND THE CAFÉ.
IF ANY RESIDENTS WITH HOMES BORDERING THE ALLEY HAVE SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS THAT MAY HAVE CAUGHT FOOTAGE OF THE SUSPECT VEHICLE PLEASE CONTACT PACIFIC AREA ROBBERY DETECTIVE II W. PORCHE AT (310) 482-6393.
VEHICLE: Early 2000’s 4 door Lexus, Cream over Gold, tinted windows, minor T/C damage to front passenger bumper, and passenger side headlight.
