Parolee At Large Wanted For Narcotics Sales & Battery On Police Officer In Custody

The clip above is the radio call from today’s apprehension of the suspect wanted for narcotics sales, felony battery on a police officer, and being a parolee at large. This gives you an idea of what LAPD has to go through to catch a bad guy. At the end, of course he complains of chest pains thinking that going to the hospital will give him another chance to escape. It didn’t.

Today at around 1:30 pm a help call was generated as LAPD officers saw a suspect wanted for battery on a police officer last week on 3rd between Rose and Sunset. The initial incident resulted when officers observed the suspect selling narcotics. When they attempted to detain him he fought, and although he was tasered - he fled prompting a perimeter and search that took several hours.

The suspect has been observed several times in the area, but was on a bike and was able to evade the Police. A parolee, he has given up information on local crimes in the past but has since been uncooperative since the 3rd St incident.

Today he tried to flee, engaged officers in a foot pursuit. An airship was requested, and a when it was ID’d that he was the ADW suspect a full backup was dispatched. He was apprehended 15 minutes later with the valued assistance of kick-ass Senior Lead Officer Peggy Thusing.

The suspect led officers on quite the pursuit today. He was going west on Rose when he was spotted. Then he doubled back and when he realized he was being pursued he dumped his bike and fled on foot. Officers followed… and eventually got him. Audio of the whole incident on the way.
