What was old is new again. LAPD has started to enforce the shopping cart ordinance again in an effort to keep blight off the street, and from being transported from place to place. It is a misdemeanor crime to be in possession of a shopping cart, unless you own it. It is also against the law to affix a shopping cart to City property. Shopping carts are expensive, and once taken from a shopping center they are extremely expensive to collect.
Also, as those who listen to the scanner feed know, LAPD has been blanketing Ocean Front Walk and the Marina Peninsula alphabet streets. Yipee.
LAPD cleaning up Venice one bum at a time.
Collect those shopping carts and get rid of the blight in Venice.
