From the Triangle Update. You can sign up for this awesome update by emailing boogie@dslextreme.com.

Approximately 30 percent more ballots were cast this year than last election.  People stood in line before 10 am at the Westminster School to cast their votes.  There was no line once the doors opened.   People filled out the registration required and then got a ballot to vote.  Polls closed at 4:05.

Note:  The election can be challenged but challenge must be made by Friday.

Linda Lucks, President

Marc Saltzberg, Vice-president (uncontested)

Kristopher Valentine, Secretary (uncontested)

Hugh Harrison, Treasurer (uncontested)

Jake Kaufman, Chair of Land Use and Planning Committee

Helen Stotler, Communications Officer

Matt Kline, Outreach Officer

J. Lloyd Jacobs, Factual Basis Community Officer

At-Large Community Officers –Thirteen

Caution:  There are 21 provisional ballots not counted.  A provisional ballot is one that Sunday lacked proper documentation, such as address verification.  If the proper documentation is provided by Wednesday, that ballot will count.  This could definitely affect election of some of the thirteen at-large community officers.
