LA Times: Man Charged In Sexual Assault Case

20121022-232559.jpgA 36-year-old man has been charged in connection with the sexual assault of a woman jogging at the beach in Santa Monica, police said Monday.
The woman reported that she was attacked early Oct. 10 as she ran near the waterline. She fought off the man and fled, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
Police said Chino resident Brandon Cross was charged by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office with felonies including two counts of forcible rape and one count of attempted murder. He was apprehended by officers who had seen a composite sketch of the suspect.
