This morning at 6 a.m. LAPD officers from the Pacific Division strolled across the street to serve an arrest warrant on a suspect who had outstanding warrants. The suspect decided he was going to not be arrested, and holed-up inside his apartment for about 6 hours. LAPD tried various methods to communicate with the suspect but he was having none of it. He was known to have had dangerous weapons in the past, so SWAT was called in to “encourage” him to give up as only they can. After pumping the place full of gas canisters, they used what one SWAT officer described to me as “hot gas” – which did the trick. The suspect came to the door and surrendered. He was walked across the street and booked. Man those SWAT guys have some impressive gear! You can see them below driving away from the suspect location all hanging off the big vehicle. The incident ended around noon.

I live with my family in that apartment complex, that dude was always into some kind of crap. He stole my bike one day as I was walking my son.
