One LAPD Call, Two Foot Pursuits Nab Robbery Suspects In The Projects At 3:30 a.m.

Yes, just a five minute drive from the million dollar beachfront condos and alleyway stench of homeless urine by the sea is CD11′s very own “projects”. City owned low-income housing that breeds gang members and is a constant firehose of police calls.

Last night at 3:30 a.m. two male Hispanics beat up and robbed a resident in the Mar Vista Projects. LAPD responded and engaged two suspects in a foot pursuit. At first one evaded the cops, but a trusty airship flew in and nailed the sucker as he was trying to hide – and he was subsequently hooked and booked. Yes, it sucks to be woken up by an LAPD airship at 4 in the morning… but it is even worse to be robbed at your home and have the bad guys get away. This time – they didn’t. Listen to the LAPD radio audio of the call and  hear how hard it is to be a cop sometimes. It ain’t all donuts folks. FYI – “211″ (two-eleven) means robbery. It gets good at about 2 minutes in when one of the officers is hauling ass after a fleeing suspect.
